In which I wear a 70s dress on a lovely beach

I thought I'd do another outfit post at the last ones have had a little bit of interest. Besides which the weather is beautifully sunny now so it makes me want to go and prance about outdoors. Actually as I was posing it got suddenly dramatically hotter and I had to go run home to change out of something with long sleeves.
This dress belonged to my mum when she was a teenager in the 70s which makes it not only vintage but also family history. You cant tell in the picture but it has 4 long purple tassles that hang down from the front. It is a little worn and so a lot of the shape seems to have disappeared like the elastic at the ends of the sleeves is dead. It would look silly without a belt. I often refer to it as my 'date dress' because it makes me feel sophisticated far more than a sexy black dress does and I love wearing it with my gold heels and my other item of my mums old clothing I love -a 70s velvet jacket.
Anyhow enough with the talking. Here are some pictures:

  1. Such a beautiful, beautiful dress! And since it was handed down to you from your mother that makes it all the more special... The easy beauty of 70's dresses just always blows my mind!

Thank you ever so much for all of the lovely comments you leave on my blog :)
